Thousands expected for Good Friday Walk of Witness

Thousands of people are expected to come together on Good Friday for the Walk of Witness.

Worshippers from several churches in Handsworth are appealing to the public to join them as they proceed down Soho Road, singing, playing live music and waving flags.

Around 3,000 are expected to join in the march on Good Friday which is a time for reflection for Christians across the world.

The event – which is now in its 15th year- will start outside the Beacon Evangelical Church, off Sandwell Road, in Handsworth, at 12.30pm.

The Walk Of Witness will begin at 1pm and pause briefly outside Cannon Street Memorial Baptist Church and again outside the KFC, near to the junction with Grove Lane, before arriving at Temple Row House for Praise and Worship at 2.30pm.
